We’re fired up to hit the East Coast starting this weekend! We’ll be making our first appearance at Jerry Jam in New Hampshire and Floydfest in Virginia. The Northeast run will start at Pacific Standard Tavern in New Haven, CT, and in between the festivals, we’ll be making stops in New York City, and Washington, DC. We always have a blast back east!
July is right around the corner, and we’re getting ready for not one, but two trips across the Mississippi this month! We kick things off with our first appearance at FitzGerald’s American Music Festival in Chicago, IL June 30th, followed by shows in Toledo, OH, Grand Rapids, MI, and Madison, WI. We then drive to the great state of Colorado for shows in Pueblo, Boulder, and Denver. In Boulder, we’ll be playing with our good buddies The Grant Farm at The Fox Theatre on Thursday July 7th. It will be an incredible night, and we hope to see friends from all over Colorado there.
For all you on the west coast, we’ll be playing California Worldfest in Grass Valley July 16th and 17th along with some amazing bands from all sorts of genres. The following week we’re back on the east side of the Mississippi making our first appearance at several festivals and venues. We’ll be at Jerry Jam in Bath New Hampshire July 24th, American Beauty in New York City July 26th, The Hamilton in Washington, DC on July 27th, and Floyd Fest in Floyd Virginia July 28th and 29th! We’ve been hearing great things about these festivals and venues, and can’t wait to check them out!
May is shaping up to be one for the books! On May 27th and May 28th, we will be hosting our 4th annual Winter’s Dead Weekend at Crystal Bay Club Casino in Crystal Bay, NV on the shores of Lake Tahoe. We’ll be joined by special guests Hot Buttered Rum both nights, and Head for the Hills will be playing after parties in the Red Room following each show. Themes have been announced for the weekend: Friday night will be 90’s Night, and Saturday will be “Grand Ole CBC” following in the footsteps of the Grand Ole Opry and classic country of years gone by. DWC will be playing original tunes both nights, as well as some theme based picks. We’re also looking forward to a Friday the 13th excursion to Portland, OR to headline the Whiskeytown USA festival. PDX is one of our favorite stops and combining whiskey and live music is something we can get behind! Another highlight of the month will be Wavy Gravy’s 80th Birthday Celebration in Rohnert Park, CA on 5/22. This will be a benefit for the SEVA Foundation and will feature such acts as Steve Earle, John Popper, Yonder Mountain String Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage, DWC and more!
